Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This policy explains what information 7 Cats Listing ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the
choices you have. By using the Service you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — email address, eBay seller username, password (stored only as a
salted hash — we never store your plain-text password), plan and credit balances, and optionally
your ship-from postal code.
- Photos and listing content — the product photos you upload (including any embedded
metadata), your notes, and the listings the Service generates for you.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of
what you purchased and keep a fulfillment record; we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage and technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and standard
server logs, used for security and to keep the Service running.
- Messages — anything you send via the contact form, support tickets, or beta
feedback.
2. How we use your information
- To operate the Service: generate your listings, host your photos, manage your credits and
plan, and deliver your CSV files.
- To send transactional email — verification, password resets, receipts, and support
replies. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, secure the Service, and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve the Service, including improving the quality of AI-generated listings.
3. Your photos are hosted publicly
Important: so that eBay and buyers' browsers can display them, your uploaded product
photos are hosted at public web addresses on our domain. Anyone with a photo's link can view it,
and eBay listings embed those links. Do not upload photos containing anything you wouldn't want
public — faces, documents, addresses, or other personal details visible in the background.
4. AI processing
Your photos and notes are processed by AI systems — including third-party AI model
providers — to identify the item, extract details, and write your listing. This processing is
what the Service is; if you don't want your content processed this way, don't upload it.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- service providers that help us operate — AI model providers, Stripe (payments), and our
email infrastructure — each only receiving what they need;
- eBay, in the sense that the listing content and photo links you download are made for
publishing there;
- authorities, when legally required;
- a successor, if the business is sold or merged (this policy would continue to apply).
6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or
cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the
Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Uploaded photos and
job files may be removed after a retention period; download your completed listings and CSVs
when you're done with them.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — HTTPS everywhere, hashed
passwords, and restricted server access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security,
so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Your rights & choices
- View and update your profile details anytime from your account page.
- Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and its data, via the
contact form. Some records (e.g. payment/fulfillment history) may be
retained where the law requires it.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under GDPR or CCPA) —
contact us and we will honor applicable requests.
10. Children
The Service is for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect
information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the
current version. Material changes will be noted on this page or by email.
